A hybrid refers to a fabric that has more than one type of structural fiber within its construction. It alternates fibers in each warp/weft direction which allow the fibers to be presented in one layer of fabric instead of two. The most typical hybrids combinations are carbon/aramid, aramid/glass, and carbon/glass.
